- Implementation: Distributed electronically via email and the CARE Center website, and in person during workshops and events.
- Types of Surveys: Includes baseline and follow-up surveys to track changes over time, as well as event-specific feedback forms.
Listening Sessions
- Purpose: To engage community members, CARE Center participants, and partners in discussions about specific issues or incidents of concern, gathering detailed, contextual data.
- Implementation: Hosted in community venues or via online platforms, facilitated by trained CARE staff.
- Data Handling: Audio recordings are transcribed, and all data are anonymized before analysis.
Web Analytics
- Purpose: To track engagement and utilization patterns on the CARE Center website and digital resources.
- Implementation: Utilizing cookies and tracking tools to collect data on user interactions, page views, and resource downloads.
Data Analysis Methods
Quantitative Analysis
- Tools: Utilizes statistical software packages such as SPSS, R, or Stata.
- Techniques: Descriptive statistics, inferential statistics (e.g., regression analysis, ANOVA), and time-series analysis, mixed effects modeling, and structural equation modeling for longitudinal data.
Qualitative Analysis
- Tools: Analysis software like NVivo or ATLAS.ti for coding and thematic analysis.
- Techniques: Content analysis for identifying recurring themes and patterns, narrative analysis for understanding personal stories, and discourse analysis for interpreting communication and language use.
Mixed-Methods Analysis
- Integration: Combining quantitative and qualitative data to provide a comprehensive understanding of program impacts and dynamics.
- Techniques: Sequential explanatory strategy, where qualitative data help explain quantitative findings, or concurrent triangulation strategy, where both data types are analyzed together to corroborate findings.
Geospatial Analysis
- Purpose: To visualize and analyze data by geographic location, identifying spatial patterns in the effectiveness of CARE initiatives.
- Tools: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software.
- Application: Mapping survey results, incident locations, and community resource accessibility.
Data Management and Security
Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored on secure, encrypted servers with access restricted to authorized personnel only.
- Regular security audits and compliance checks ensure data integrity and protection.
Data Sharing and Reporting
- Data is shared internally within the CARE team on a need-to-know basis.
- External sharing of data, such as with partners or in publications, is conducted under strict protocols and typically in aggregated or anonymized form.
Ethical Considerations
- All data collection and analysis adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
- Continuous consent and opt-out options are provided to all participants.
This overview provides a structured approach to how data will be systematically collected, analyzed, and managed by the CARE Centers, ensuring that all processes align with ethical standards and organizational goals.
