Nicholas Dimas Caraballo (He/Him/His) is a graduate student at American University’s School of Public Affairs, where he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy. With a deep interest in critical pedagogy, peace and justice studies, and citizenship education, Nicholas seeks to mobilize collective action toward creating a more peaceful and just society through education. Nicholas is committed to examining the interplay of various social, cultural, economic, and political factors that shape higher education institutions and their impact on the student experience. A researcher of Critical Education Studies, Nicholas is driven to illuminate the interconnections between education and broader societal structures of inequality. His work highlights the urgent need for promoting equity, diversity, and inclusivity in educational settings and addressing the systemic challenges that perpetuate discrimination and hate.
