Emily Stingle is a program associate for the Developing & Using Critical Comprehension (DUCC) project, where she focuses on the development and spread of misinformation, as well as information literacy-based interventions, particularly for youth. She co-created DUCC in 2022 as part of the DHS-sponsored Invent2Prevent competition, where the project won first place and became part of PERIL. Following this success, the DHS Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships (CP3) awarded the team a $784,276 grant through the Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP) program. Emily has spoken about youth digital literacy prevention programs at the Eradicate Hate Global Summit and the Global Peace Foundation’s Youth Leadership Development Conference.
She holds a BA in Justice and Law and an MS in Terrorism and Homeland Security Policy, both from American University’s School of Public Affairs.
