Dr. Christian A. Bracho is an assistant professor in the Teacher Education Department in the College of Education at California State University, Long Beach, where he is Program Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction. He received his master’s degree and teaching credential at the University of Rochester, worked as an English teacher and teacher trainer in Los Angeles County for 12 years, and completed his Ph.D. in International Education at New York University. Dr. Bracho is co-editor of the volume Teachers Teaching Nonviolence (DIO Press, 2020), and his research on teacher identity and teacher activism has been published in Politics & Policy, Issues in Teacher Education, and Globalisations, Societies and Education. Since 2022, he has served as Associate Vice President of Praxis with the Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institution Educators (AHSIE). He also serves as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Qualitative Studies of Education.
