Katie Spann leads the operations at PERIL. As a member of the leadership team, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the lab. Katie likes to say, “she moves mountains and parts seas” for the research team to effectively conduct its work in research, education, and training.

As a visionary leader with excellent management skills, she is known for her collaborative approach. Her successful professional career of over 20 years in Finance, Event Management, Community and Faith-Based initiatives, and most importantly as an educator for the Montgomery County School Systems has provided her a broad perspective on the importance of inclusion and diversity.

A native of New Jersey, Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance and an MBA. Katie enjoys traveling internationally and volunteering at various organizations in her spare time.
